Youth With Disabilities Organization (YoWDO) is a national, youth-led NGO in Tanzania committed to advancing the rights, inclusion, and empowerment of youth with disabilities. Our work focuses on creating sustainable opportunities for education, economic empowerment, and meaningful participation in all aspects of life.
What is YoWDO Connect?
YoWDO Connect is an online portal developed by YoWDO to bridge the gap between employers and skilled youth with disabilities. The platform enables employers to easily post internship and job opportunities while promoting inclusive employment practices across Tanzania.
The Internship Opportunity
We are currently collaborating with Sightsavers, challenge worldwide with support from Standard Chartered Foundation in implementing a project aimed at connecting youth with disabilities to internship opportunities across various sectors. Through this initiative:
- YoWDO prepares youth with disabilities with soft skills, equipping them with skills to navigate the job market
- YoWDO matches qualified youth with your internship openings for gaining hands-on experience
- YoWDO covers transport support for the interns during the placement period.
- Interns bring fresh skills, perspectives, and motivation to your organization.
